Activity Overview
Are you looking for a powerful way to close your next large-scale development event and ensure the learning actually sticks? To unify a large group, you need an activity that seamlessly bridges team processes with individual action planning.
Reach For A Star is a highly engaging, 90+ minute collaborative art and construction activity designed to bring together anywhere from 30 to 180 participants. It is an extraordinary tool for conference-style events, allowing your delegates to literally build a shared vision.
The task begins with individuals or small teams creating visual representations of their action plans, personal values, or team reviews onto 60 triangular templates. Using a mix of artistic expression and written statements, participants capture their key takeaways. Then, the entire room must collaborate to construct a complex, movable 3-dimensional 20-pointed star sculpture using these customized panels. For very large groups, multiple stars can even be constructed simultaneously.
This highly tactile challenge requires excellent time management, inclusion across different sub-teams, and a commitment to shared quality standards. It perfectly visualises diversity and cultural awareness while raising the room's overall energy. As an ideal closing session, the final sculpture serves as a memorable, striking representation of every individual's commitment to taking forward their good intentions.
Whether you are an independent trainer or an internal L&D consultant, this premium activity provides a spectacular finale. If you want to transform a standard conference into a cohesive, high-energy workshop, learn more about incorporating Reach For A Star today!
